Jazz Guitarist: Trio

What songs will you  play? Can we make requests?
Yes of course, at LS Music we welcome requests, the set list can be tailored to your preferences and music taste.
We like to play the music that is meaningful and important to you and your guests.
LS Music  will discuss in advance your selection of  must play and do not play songs, as well as your important song request for special moments during the evening, like a grand entrance, first dance, cake cutting etc.
All other requests are commonly played at each appropriate moment during the event.

We have already prepared a song list that we like to use, is this ok with the DJ?
Absolutely, however  LS Music  must receive the song list well in advance before the event.
We will need to work with a new set of songs and must spend time in screening all the songs, making sure that all files are compatible with our own system and equipment.
We would then mix and smoothly transitioning the songs at each appropriate moment.

Do we need to make a song selection?
No, it's not required if you don't like to, or you don't have time to make a music selection.
Most likely there will be a mixture of younger and older people among your guests.
It's common to play a blend of different genres spanning different decades from the 20s to today's music.
At LS Music we like to read the crowd and play what is appropriate for it, on each given moment during the evening.

Do you provide multi speaker set up?
LS Music provides different size of sound and lights installations to meet different event requirements,
from 50 to 2000 guests. Just let us know your preferences.

Our venue allows access to the property only one hour before the starting time, can the DJ set up under one hour of time?
It depends. In most cases it can be done when LS Music is informed well in advance.
There will be an extra cost that will vary depending on the amount of labour and equipment that it's required for your event.
The number of technicians necessary for the installation will vary based on several factors.
Additionally, the distances and type of path (5 or 100 stairs, for example) from the loading/unloading dock to the event area make also a big difference in the timing required for setting up and tear down.

How far in advance do I need to secure your services?
LS Music accepts bookings up to fifteen (or so) months ahead of the event. Ten months in advance is the average, and recommended, especially if you are planning of having an event on a popular date. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days of the week, at least in the summer time.

How much is the deposit and when is it due? When is the final payment due?
LS Music commonly ask an initial 25% deposit to hold the date, 50% within 4 months of the event, and 100% due two weeks before the event date. In the eventuality of any remaining balance, we require to be paid on the day of the event prior the performance start.

What forms of payment do you accept?
LS Music accepts cash or check on the day of the event.
Credit cards and bank transfer payments are also accepted prior the event date, for an additional 3% fee ($16 minimum).

What do you require from us?
For outdoor events LS Music requires appropriate cover from rain or wind (if any), and excessive exposure to the direct sun light, as equipment gets damaged and DJs too!

A power outlet is required within reasonable distance from the performance area.
A 20amp separate circuit may be needed for some type of light installations.
If any restricted access is in place at your venue, we require a load/unloading permit, and a secure parking. For events ending after 11:45pm, an over night accommodation and meals is required in most cases, for travelling times greater than three hours. Light meals and refreshments are not expected (but always welcome :) unless the DJ will be hired for events of three hours or more.

Do you use a written contract? What is your cancellation policy?
Yes, once you are ready to go ahead with the booking, all final details will be confirmed in a written agreement.
